Customer-First Billing Policy — fair refunds, abuse prevention, and a free plan you can always fall back to.
Billing, Cancellations & Refunds
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Company: Web3 Files Network
✅ Refunds (Yes, we do them)
If you request a refund, we may approve it based on reasonable use and account history.
If a refund is granted, your account will be moved to the Free/Basic plan and premium access will be locked.
🛡️ Abuse Prevention
We do not allow “use-and-refund” behavior (for example: enabling premium tools, consuming premium resources heavily,
exporting results, then requesting a refund).
1. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
- Paid memberships are billed on a monthly subscription basis unless otherwise stated.
- Subscriptions may auto-renew each billing cycle until canceled.
- Plan limits and premium features are tied to your active subscription status.
2. Cancellations
- You may cancel at any time through your account settings (if available) or by contacting support.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your access generally continues through the end of the paid period.
3. Refund Policy (Customer-First)
We understand that plans can be purchased by mistake, needs can change, and sometimes a service is not a fit.
We will review refund requests in good faith and aim to be fair.
4. Typical Refund Approvals
Refunds are commonly approved when:
- The subscription was purchased accidentally or you immediately changed your mind;
- A billing error occurred;
- A technical issue materially prevented use of paid features and we could not resolve it in a reasonable time;
- The request is made within 72 hours of purchase and usage is minimal.
5. Refund Limitations (Preventing “Use-and-Refund”)
Because paid features can provide immediate, high-value benefits, refunds may be denied if there is evidence of substantial
premium usage. Examples include (not exhaustive):
- Enabling premium features and using them heavily (e.g., creating many premium/private folders or other premium resources);
- High-volume usage that significantly exceeds typical “testing” behavior;
- Repeated refund requests across billing cycles;
- Any activity suggesting intentional abuse of premium access.
6. What Happens When a Refund Is Approved
- Your paid subscription will be canceled and not renewed.
- Your account will be downgraded to Free/Basic.
- Premium access will be locked (including premium-only tools and limits).
- You will retain access to free features and any free-plan functionality.
- If you later re-upgrade, premium features can be re-enabled subject to current pricing and plan terms.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email us with your account email, the date of purchase, and a short explanation:
8. Payment Processors and Timing
Refund timing depends on your payment method and processor. Once approved and submitted, refunds typically post back to the
original payment method according to your bank or card issuer’s processing times.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect operational changes, new features, or legal requirements. The effective date above
indicates the latest version.
